Helen’s is one of the UK and Ireland’s leading wheat and gluten-free brands, offering a range of products including gluten-free home baking mixes and nutritious seed mixes. All products combine the benefits of linseed with other seeds such as sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and chia, delivering natural foods with great taste. Helen’s Seeded Bread Mix, Helen’s Brown Bread Mix, Helen’s Crumble Mix and Helen’s Breakfast Toppings with Goji berries, will be stocked in 90 Asda stores across the UK.

The quick and easy gluten-free baking mixes are a great source of fibre, and are ready to bake in two minutes – while the Breakfast Seed Toppings, as well as being gluten-free and a source of protein, are high in fibre and a rich source of Omega 3. The Toppings can be sprinkled on cereal, smoothies, yogurt or salads to give a nutritional boost.

The Helen’s range is developed by Virginia Health Food founder Helen O’Dowd, a qualified nutritionist and food scientist. Helen commented: “Helen’s is just one example of the innovation that Virginia Health Food Ltd. aims to achieve, in order to develop new products in line with changing consumer demand. We want to not only to appeal to those who avoid gluten in their diets, but also those who are looking to add more nutrients for an all-round healthier balanced diet – particularly with the busy lifestyles everyone has today. We are very pleased that Helen’s products are now available to buy at Asda so that more customers are able to benefit from our convenient, nutritious and, of course, tasty range.”

Laura Williams, gluten free buyer at Asda, said: “We are committed to providing a high standard of free from foods to our customers and we believe that expanding our range with products like Helen’s mixes and toppings helps us to deliver that. The free from and health markets are fast growing, with consumers increasingly looking for better and healthier options that they can enjoy easily – a need that Asda can meet through listings of brands like Helen’s.”
