Pizza Express add tropical new vegan dessert to menu

High-street restaurant chain Pizza Express are putting a spring into our step with the launch of their brand new Spring Special menu, which includes a brand new vegan dessert…

On March 28th Pizza Express will be launching their new Spring Special menu, and it includes a brand new vegan dessert – Coconut Delight. It promises to be ‘creamy’ and ‘delicious’ thanks to the mixture of coconut milk and shavings.

According to Holly Davies, Head of Food at Pizza Express, there has been ‘a significant rise in requests from our guests for more vegan-friendly meal options – particularly from fans on our social media pages’, which prompted the new menu option.

Pizza Express suggests you pair it with olives and the Pianta (a vegan pizza loaded with spinach, chestnut mushrooms, pine kernels and artichokes on a spicy Arrabbiata base) to create your three-course vegan dining experience – it’s the first time that the restaurant chain has offered the option of ordering three courses for vegan diners. You can also opt for dough-balls with garlic oil or slow roasted tomatoes if you don’t fancy olives to start

According to the company, you are also welcome to bring in your own vegan cheese to top your pizza, provided that it is in a sealed pack, in date and the date is clearly visible on the packaging.

And to wash it all down, there are some new booze options as well – think Watermelon Chill, and an Organic Verdicchio white wine.
